With the first three volumes now delivered into the hands of excited backers around the world, and the books about to go on sale in retailers (more on that later) I am very excited to start talking about the next three volumes of THE ART OF…!
In May, we’ll be bringing the next three volumes to Kickstarter in what we’re expecting will be a roughly three-week campaign. We’ve gathered another three wonderful artists, each with a different approach to their miniatures art, and they’ll each have an opportunity to talk about their art in their own way. (One of the best pieces of feedback we’ve received has been the acknowledgement that these aren’t books that follow a formula, or a set of interview questions).
THE ART OF… Chris Suhre
The first artist we are featuring is Chris Suhre. Chris has been involved in gaming for a long time, but has only relatively recently pushed hard into the art of painting miniatures. He has spent a lot of time working on wonderful dioramas and through that explored many aspects of composition, including the physical arrangement of elements in a scene and the use of color to support and enhance the physical components. Chris will talk about the basics and dig deeper into the advanced elements as we take a closer look at many of his award-winning pieces.
